Mohammad Sadek

محمد جميل صادق

Software engineer and tutor in Idlib. I build web products for businesses that live on a phone and a weak connection — bilingual, fast, and maintainable by the person who pays for them.

Profile

Idlib is not a market that forgives a heavy website. The phone is mid-range, the connection drops, and the customer is reading Arabic. Every project here was built against that: one request for the first screen, nobody waiting on a hero video, and type that doesn’t break when a word wraps.

I work as a software engineer and I tutor alongside it. Three production products for real businesses — a café, a burger house, an engineering office — plus a teaching practice that keeps me honest about explaining what I build. When the material for a course doesn’t exist in Arabic, I write it.

“A menu that opens on 3G, in Arabic, in one hand — that is the whole brief.”

Aromia

أرومية — مقهى، إدلب

A café menu that survives a 3G phone: 24 categorised items, bilingual Arabic/English, prices in Syrian lira, and dish photography served at the width the screen actually needs.

Smoke & Fire

سموك أند فاير — برغر وباستا

A restaurant menu with the full range: pasta, burgers, drinks — 26 items across three sections, a dark identity that holds up in daylight, and a WebP pipeline that serves each photo at 128 through 1600 px.

Dimension بُعد

مكتب هندسي — تصميم وإشراف

An architecture and engineering office, Arabic-first from the ground up: RTL display type that never clips a descender, project media on R2, records on D1, and a private admin so the office publishes work without a developer.

Everything else lives in the drawer: tools built for other people, coursework, and problems solved for the sake of solving them.

Engineering, and the teaching that funds it.

Practice

Build

  1. Interfaces

Layout and type that hold at 320 px and 1440 px, Arabic set properly rather than mirrored, motion used to explain a state change and nothing else.

  2. Systems

Go and TypeScript services, Postgres and SQLite schemas, edge workers with D1 and R2 behind them — the boring parts, chosen on purpose.

  3. Shipping

Image pipelines, performance budgets, and admin panels an owner can use on a Tuesday without calling anyone.

Teach

  1. C++ from zero

My own course material, written in Arabic: pointers, memory, and the standard library explained without hand-waving.

  2. Web fundamentals

HTML, CSS and JavaScript as three separate crafts — the browser as a platform, not a framework.

  3. Problem solving

Algorithms and Codeforces practice for students who want the habit, not the trick.

University students at Ebla, and beginners who never had a teacher explain the first line of code.
